Robyn McKinnon Consultancy & Counselling Services offers a professional and experienced counselling service to people across Northern Tasmania, working from counselling rooms in Launceston & Longford, and providing regular outreach services to Flinders Island and King Island.
Robyn supports individuals and couples who may be experiencing a range of life issues including grief and loss, relationship breakdown, workplace problems, self esteem, anxiety and depression, trauma and sexual assault, and has a particular interest in working with families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, fertility issues, or currently pregnant or parenting after a loss.
Robyn has professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
Robyn holds a Graduate Diploma in Counselling through the University of Tasmania and a Master in Social Work through Griffith University. She also has qualifications in youth work and assessment & training, and has worked across the welfare and private sector in Tasmania since 2001.
Robyn has been recognised for her work and commitment to helping people in Tasmania by receiving a number of awards over the years including Tasmanian Young Australian of the Year in 2008, Southern Cross Young Achievers Spirit of Tasmania Award, a Griffith University Academic Excellence Award for her studies in the Master of Social Work, and is a current finalist in the Australian Allied Health Awards in 2 categories – 2019 Excellence in Rural/Remote areas and 2019 Social Worker of the Year due to be announced in September.
